A Verinarian Team

If you are thinking about going on a mission trip with your family. read how going as family as impacted other families who have chosen to go.

Breath of Life International has been a huge blessing to our family. For years we had been looking for creative-access ways to grow God’s kingdom through my husband’s career of veterinary medicine. BOLI’s partnership with an organization called Christian Veterinary Mission alerted us to the opportunities to join in BOLI’s work in the DR. Within our time zone, and only a direct 5 hour flight away, we felt like a week and a half long trip to the DR was doable for our five children aged 3-11 at the time.
Breath of Life took great care to prepare us, pray with us, provide for us, and protect us while there. With the Lord’s blessing and help, we have had two amazing visits to the DR. We have been deeply impacted by the testimonies of our translators and their hearts to serve the Lord alongside us...God has changed our idea of what “church” is and what “church planting” involves. We have been so blessed to witness God’s Spirit moving heavily in hearts, and then hear from back at home, what the men and women are doing in response to Christ in their lives. It is a beautiful and amazing movement to witness. God is at work in the DR, and He is worthy of all praise!
We have also had the great privilege of meeting many national apostolic visionaries in the DR who are partners with BOLI. These are folks who have been fervently crying out to God for their country and who are working hard to impact the DR for Christ. We have been challenged to grow in so many ways due to our trips and the friends made along the way. God has broken our hearts and called us to a deeper prayer walk, to bolder faith, to surrendered trust in Him, and to encounter the spiritual battles raging around us. We have grown together spiritually as a family as we prepared, traveled, returned, and shared about our trip. God is indeed at work and doing miracles for our good and His glory. We hope to return to the DR soon, and have several families who also hope to join us.
